Open bugs with council involvement 6. Open floor Roll call ========= Present: dilfridge, k_f, mgorny, slyfox, tamiko, ulm, williamh Architectures without teams =========================== After a short discussion of the status of architectures without teams, the council accepted the following two motions: - Vote: Introduction of a new architecture keyword requires an RFC in the gentoo-dev mailing list and creation of a project for the architecture team. Accepted unanimously. - Vote: Arches that currently don't have a project page are required to create one within one month from now. Accepted unanimously. Improving support for minor arches ================================== The established order of profiles, namely "stable" > "dev" > "exp", is acknowledged by council members. It is suggested to document this, e.g., in the devmanual. Profile changes =============== The recent introduction of new profiles is discussed. There is consensus that profile changes should be well documented and announced to users. It is also noted that >=eselect-1.4.11 displays profiles' status and prevents accidental selection of an "exp" profile. No motion is brought forward; further discussion can take place on mailing lists. Open bugs with council involvement ================================== - Bug 635344 "[TRACKER] manifest-hashes replacement": Work in progress. - Bug 637328 "GLEP 14 needs to be updated": The security team is working on an update. - Bug 642072 "Joint venture to deal with copyright issues": This is mostly a foundation matter, and will be discussed in the upcoming joint meeting of council and foundation. Open floor ========== Further discussion of the status of minor architectures takes place. In particular, arm64, mips, m68k, and sh are mentioned.
