This new revision is based on the ebuild submitted by Michael
Mair-Keimberger, updated for EAPI=6. The Makefile patch was rewritten;
a lot was simplified by simply appending to the implicit variables
CFLAGS, CPPFLAGS, LDFLAGS, and LDLIBS. The build system should now
respect all of those.
A missing dependency on dev-libs/openssl was added based on -lssl
being present in LDLIBS. The ebuild was also keyworded ~amd64, since
that's what I tested on.

This new revision is based on the ebuild submitted by Michael
Mair-Keimberger, with additional updates for EAPI=6. I have also
simplified the patch that we apply; now it contains only the addition
of LDFLAGS to the linker command. By side-stepping upstream's "make
install" target, we avoid having to patch in DESTDIR and all of that.
Doing so actually simplifies src_install() a bit, as it can be reduced
to a dobin, newman, and dodoc.

This new revision is based on the ebuild supplied by Michael
Mair-Keimberger in bug 334771. I turned his sed command into a patch,
and further updated the ebuild to EAPI=6.

This new revision updates the ebuild to EAPI=6, and adds a patch that
rewrites the Makefile. The inspiration for the patch, and the new
ebuild itself were submitted by user Michael Mair-Keimberger.
In addition to fixing the CC, CFLAGS, and LDFLAGS handling, the new
ebuild adds a USE dependency on app-admin/gkrellm[X], which, in the
old EAPI, had to crash the eclass.

The build system for this package was a crude Makefile that has been
mostly replaced. The inspiration for the fixes was taken from a patch
by Gentoo user Michael Mair-Keimberger, who was also kind enough to
post an updated ebuild (which I've updated further to EAPI=6).

This revision updates to EAPI=6 and cleans up the ebuild a bit. It
contains a notable improvement, Michael Mair-Keimberger's patch to
append LDFLAGS to the link command.

This is another revision thanks to Michael Mair-Keimberger. His patch
fixes the Makefile so that it adds $(LDFLAGS) in the right spots, and
also happens to fix $(CC) in the process. An EAPI=2 USE-dependency was
added for gkrellm (also part of the patch), and the ebuild was updated
to use EAPI=6.

This new revision is thanks to Michael Mair-Keimberger who patched
three bugs at once. He made the build system respect CFLAGS and
LDFLAGS, and updated the ebuild to use USE dependencies rather than
just crashing if gkrellm was built without X support.

This new revision fixes two bugs, both thanks to Michael
Mair-Keimberger who posted patches to our bugzilla. The first is that
the upstream build system did not support LDFLAGS -- it now does, with
a patched Makefile. Michael also corrected the invalid HOMEPAGE
variable, and added the ~amd64 keyword (which I am able to test).
The ebuild has been updated to EAPI=6.

This new revision updates the EAPI because the old one was
deprecated. It also fixes a faked USE dependency reported in bug
514064, by turning it into a real one.

This new revision updates to EAPI=6 for a few reasons. First, the old
EAPI in use was deprecated. There is also a faked USE dependency in
the eclass (reported in bug 514108) that was turnen into a real
one. Finally, the default src_prepare was adopted.
